A couple of classics for LogoLounge

Thursday, January 14th, 2010

We recently received word that LogoLounge.com selected two of our logos for publication in their new Master Series volume on animal and mythology logos. These logos are from our earlier days, but they’ve held up well, don’t you think?

LogoLounge has provided our industry with a fabulous online resource of over 100,000 logos that can be searched and sorted by date, subject matter, etc. We use it like the U.S. Patent office database to make sure our concepts are not going to step on the toes of other designers’ sense of ownership. Of course we also recommend real-deal legal trademarking to our clients, but these resources are a first important step in taking care to protect everyone’s copyrights.

The new book will be available soon on Amazon.

And the winners are…

Wow. I had no idea that we had such hard core puzzle mavens on our email list! Thanks to all who participated in the “Graves Fowler Cheers” holiday word scramble.

I suspect some of you may have gotten online “help” with those word lists. Stephanie alerted us that Wordsmith.org produced 1,200 words from our puzzle. And Catherine sent in her entry, then kept supplementing it as she thought of more great words to add. She said we reignited her competitive streak from Boggle and Scrabble competitions with her family. She gets the prize for enthusiasm and persistence! I hope none of you missed deadlines because we distracted you with this silliness.

Now, drum roll please. Here are the winners:

Joelle Santolla
Stephanie Fears
Andy Stief
Linda Niebauer
Fernando Cibrian

Cheers to you all. Your iTunes gift cards are on the way. And cheers to everyone who took time to have a little holiday fun on us. Happy New Year!
